SHANTA-NARASIMHA

The Shanta-Narasimha Temple was inaugarated by Sri Swami Vishwananda on 09 November 2008 at Stanger, Kwa-Zulu Natal in South Africa. This aspect of the great 4th incarnation of Lord Vishnu confers peace, calmness and tranquility of mind to the visitor of the temple. He is that aspect of Narasimha that has been garlanded by Bhakta-Prahlad, thus calming him down,as his ferocity threatened to destroy the world.

In April 2009, Radha-Krishna Govinda Devji which was consecrated and installed at Eshowe by Sri Swami Vishwananda was moved into the temple as well. They brought with them the epitomy of Love and Devotion for and from God. Together these deities welcome worshippers to an experience of unconditional love and to the sustained worship of the Guru.

Omhealing is held at the temple on Mondays, with Satsang on Thursdays and Abishekam for all deities on Saturdays.Atma Kriya courses are taught out of the temple to further enhance the experience of students with Mahavatar Babaji and Sri Swami Vishwananda.

MAHA JWALA NARASIMHA

The Maha Jwala Narasimha Temple is dedicated to Lord Narasimha one of the greatest incarnations of Lord Narayanaya. The name of the Temple translates roughly to Oh Pure Effulgent Lord Narasimha and signifies his Greatness, Beauty and Lustre. Sri Swami Vishwananda inaugurated the Temple in 2009 and since then the beauty and greatness of Lord Narasimha can always be felt. The murthi of Narasimha is his fierce (Ugra) form. This form depicts the state when Narasimha Dev was extremely angry and his growl shook the three worlds. It was in this state that Hiryanyakashipu was killed by Narasimha.
This murthi is quite big and is about two meters tall.

On Thursday night between 19:30 – 21:30 there is satsang,
Satursday afternoon between 16:00 – 17:00 there is OM healing and
Sunday morning there is abhishekam between 10:00 – 13:00 to Narasimha.

SRI BHAKTI LAKSHMI NARSINGHA DEV

"Living in a humble family home in London, resides the glorious Sri Bhakti Lakshmi Nrsinga Dev."
After many days of intense ritual and worship, Sri Swami Vishwananda inaugerated the divine deities in April 2007. The murthi itself stands at five feet and weighs over a tonne. Lord Narasimha is present in one of his most merciful forms. With Lakshmi Devi seated on His left, he holds the Shank (conch) and Chakra (disc), offering His right hand for divine benediction. Sri Bhakti Lakshmi Nrsinga Dev is accomapanied by Lord Krishna delightfully playing his flute, and with Nithyananda and Chaithanya Mahaprabhu dancing in ecstacy.
Mahabhishek is performed every Poornima (full moon), with daily abhishek and arati performed on the uttsava murthi (smaller murthi).

Jai Sri Bhakti Lakshmi Narsingh Dev!

Jai Guru Dev. This new blog is designed to showcase the glories of Narasimha Dev and His many forms. Here you will find timely stories of experiences from devotees with Lord Narasimha as well as many pictures and videos of different temples and murthis around the world of the Lord.

Narasimha (Sanskrit: नरसिंह, Narasiṃha) or Nrsimha (नृसिंह, Nṛsiṃha), also spelt as Narasingh and Narasingha, whose name literally translates from Sanskrit as "Man-lion", is an avatar of Vishnu described in the Puranas, Upanishads and other ancient religious texts of Hinduism and one of Hinduism's most popular deities, as evidenced in early epics, iconography, and temple and festival worship for over a millennium.
He is often visualized as half-man/half-lion, having a human-like torso and lower body, with a lion-like face and claws. This image is widely worshiped in deity form by a significant number of Vaishnava groups. He is known primarily as the 'Great Protector' who specifically defends and protects his devotees in times of need.
